NEW! Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Projects: Created by the Tax Reform Act of 1986, the LIHTC gives state and local agencies the authority to issue tax credits for the acquisition, rehabilitation or new construction of low income rental housing. PolicyMap can now show you HUD’s data on the locations of these projects nationwide; learn more about the number of units in each and the types of financing used to make these homes happen.
