Citing Us

Anyone using PolicyMap should feel free to incorporate PolicyMap maps, tables, data, and reports in their work.

We ask that you cite us as “Source: www.policymap.com” and keep the URL link in place if the citation is being used in a web-based product. If you export maps, tables, or reports and embed them in your work, please do not remove any logos or trademarks.

To generate a link to a specific map for your citation, click on the share button in the upper right-hand corner.

Next, click “Copy to clipboard” and then paste the link into your citation.

If a share link is not available for the data you have mapped, share a link to the data directory. You can find the URL by clicking on the source link in the map legend.

For academic and research publications, please follow one of the citation methods below:

Using APA Style

Format:

  • Title of map, dates. PolicyMap, permalink URL (based on data from ; date accessed).
