Challenge

Dr. Perez wanted to find a way to best design a course illustrating environmental justice issues for students not majoring in geography or social sciences.

By using race, poverty, and brownfield data, Dr. Perez was able to pinpoint neighborhoods in Wilmington that appeared to be located in polluted areas.
