Policy Map Welcomes Kristin Crandall to the Data Team

Our Data Team here at PolicyMap is thrilled to welcome our latest member, Kristin Crandall, who comes to us fresh from Rutgers’ Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy. Kristin first learned about the critical role that quality, objective data plays in smart policymaking while working as part of the Annie E. Casey Foundation’s data-driven juvenile detention reform effort, the Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative (JDAI), in Multnomah County, Oregon, one of the Initiative’s model sites. Kristin’s growing passion to work towards ensuring that quality data informs sound policy led her to pursue a dual Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers, where she explored how spatial analysis can make quality data all the more powerful. After working most recently with New Jersey Community Capital, Kristin is excited to bring her enthusiasm for data, mapping and community and economic development to the PolicyMap team.
