PolicyMap is looking for an intern to join us!
Are you a student looking for a spring semester/summer internship? Are you a self-identifying data nerd or geography aficionado? Do you love all those cool online infographics and data visualizations? Have you ever lost yourself browsing the aerial geography of some obscure Eastern European country, searching for remote islands in the South Pacific, or taking streetview field trips to Mexico City, only to wonder what happened to your Saturday morning, when all you really meant to look up were directions to the nearest hardware store? If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions, maybe you should come work for PolicyMap! We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented intern to join our team. Students of – but not limited to – Urban Studies, City Planning, Geography, Data Sciences, Statistics, Computer Science, etc. are encouraged to apply. Here are some of the things you would be doing as the next PolicyMap intern: help maintain and update our extensive data warehouse; locate and compile new datasets; learn and use GIS and database software tools; update our users and clients by writing for this blog; learn new skills, gain valuable experience, and work with a great staff! There is a more detailed description posted in the link below, so if you are interested, please read more to find out how to apply.
