PolicyMap Cited in New York Times
The New York Times continues to be among the growing number of news outlets using PolicyMap as a data source. Today’s paper has an article by Sheryl Gay Stolberg about how people in the Mount Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia are responding to the election. The article has a helpful sidebar with the demographic breakdown of East Mount Airy (population, education, racial breakdown, income, etc). The data itself comes from the U.S. Census Bureau, but PolicyMap makes it simple to find data for a specific area and aggregate it for a neighborhood. This follows an earlier article in the Gray Lady by Stolberg in July which used PolicyMap for data on Cleveland.
It’s nice to be used as a source by a paper of record!
