See the Impact of the Endangered Historic Tax Credit
The Federal Historic Tax Credit has preserved more than 42,000 historic buildings and leveraged over $130 billion in private investment, mostly in low and moderate income areas. With various tax reform proposals cutting or eliminating the credit, it’s worth taking a look at what it does, and what impact it has on local communities. The locations of properties that have used these credits are updated on PolicyMap.
New Tool for Exploring Land Policy
The Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, a foundation created to improve quality of life through the effective use, taxation, and stewardship of land, just released The Place Database, a new online mapping project built with mapping and data expertise from PolicyMap.
PolicyMap is Hiring!
We’re looking for a new Data Services Analyst, who will work with our clients on a wide range of areas, from finding the data that best suits their needs to building custom projects (like The Place Database, mentioned above) to loading their own data to PolicyMap. If you like using PolicyMap, you’ll love working here.
