Colleges and universities in PA with PolicyMap licenses
A recent grant from the Department of Community & Economic Development of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania gave access to PolicyMap for all state funded colleges and universities throughout Pennsylvania. Universities like Penn State, Temple, Lincoln, West Chester and many more have already been setup and given access. If you are a student at a college or university in the PA State System of Higher Education (http://www.passhe.edu), contact your Electronic Resource Librarian or send an email to info@policymap.com to learn how you can access your school’s PolicyMap subscription today.
Why a site license? This unique subscription to PolicyMap allows a school to offer full access to all datasets and custom features to all students and faculty on campus under one subscription. The library site license has access to thousands of indicators, including:
- Demographic estimates and projections
- Income and poverty measures
- Employment by industry
- Homeownership rates and affordability
- Home Sales
- School performance
And then take the data and generate maps and tables to incorporate in reports and presentations. Students and faulty can also create topical reports by predefined region, radius, or custom-drawn region, create custom regions for unique analysis, or upload your own point level data.
If your school would like more information or a free site license trial for a semester, please contact us at pmap@policymap.com or call us at (866) 923-MAPS. See why other universities like the University of Pennsylvania, Syracuse, Rutgers, Tufts, and others are already offering PolicyMap to their list of resources.
